The 'Mandarin' encountered main engine problems in position 46 51 00.0N, 071 00 00.0W, on Nov 29, 2019, after its departure from Montreal, at 3 p.m. The crew anchored the vessel, carried out repairs and resumed the voyage to Gibraltar, ETA Dec 9.
Engine trouble on St. Lawrence River
The "Mandarin" encountered engine problems on July 20, 2017, while proceeding upstream on the St. Lawrence river between Snell and the Eisenhower locks on the Cornwall–Massena leg. The vessel didn’t stop and remained under control, but had to berth at the Eisenhower Lock to fix the problem at 10 a.m. The ship was en route from Montreal to Toronto where she berthed on July 22 at 11 a.m.
