Already on Dec 26, 2024, the 'Kristin' was detained in Setubal with nine deficiencies, six of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention: 1) Certificate & Doc - Liability for the removal of wrecks certificate Expired 2) Certificate & Doc - Certificate or documentary evidence of financial security relating to shipowners liability Expired 3) Certificate & Doc - Certificate or documentary evidence of financial security for repartriation Expired 4) Certificate & Doc - Civil liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage Certificate Invalid 5) Certificate & Doc - Minimum safe manning doc Invalid 6) Emergency systems - Emergency source of power - emergency generator Not as required The vessel was released again only on April 14, 2025, afte r110 days. Engine trouble off Casquettes

The 'Kristin', en route from Cuxhaven to Brindisi with nine crew members on board, suffered engine problems in position 50 11 15.6 N, 002 06 00.0 W, 13 miles East of the Casquettes Traffic Separation Scheme on Dec 28, 2019. The defect was rectified at 01.40 a.m., and the shup resumed its voyage with an ETA as of Jan 8, 2020. The vessel was carrying 4006 tons of wooden pellets as cargo.

Trine touched bottom

On Apr 29, 2014, the "Trine" contacted the bottom on the border of Kaliningrad Sea Canal, while leaving Kaliningrad, at 12.45 Moscow time, Odin.tc reports. The mishap was caused by a steering gear failure. The vessel anchored and later went to a berth for diving inspections. The "Trine" resumed the voyage to Antwerpen, as no damages were found, with an ETA of May 3.
