Buoy ship Krebs Helios sailed Busum at 1815, Oct 4 bound for Rostock

Allision in Büsum

Oct 04, 2018 15:42

In the morning of Oct 2, 2018, at 7 a.m. the "Krebs Helios" was in allision with the f/v "Maret – SC 14", 35 gt (MMSI_ 211294100), when entering the port of Büsum. The lighthouse tender was caught by strong wind gusts and pushed against the berthed fishing vessel which suffered damage to the wooden bulwark. The "Krebs Helios" suffered scratches. The "Maret" was investigated and was to be pulled onto a slip in Büsum in the run of the week for surveys regarding possible hull damage.

Buoy layer grounded off Waabs

Sep 11, 2018 10:49

The "Krebs Helios" ran aground off Waabs in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde municipality on Sep 11, 2018, around 5 a.m.. The ship was enroute from Rostock, where it had sailed on Sep 10 at 5.15 p.m., to Eckernförde, when it got into shallow waters and grounded in position 54° 30.93' N 010° 0.71' E. There was no leakage and no pollution observed. The police boats "Bayreuth", "Brunswik" and "Staberhuk" attended as well as the lifeboats "Berlin" and "Eckernförde" of the DGzRS stations Laboe and Eckernförde. The "Berlin" launched its daughter boat which assisted to establish a towing connection to the tug "Bülk" (IMO: 8701284) which had been called from Kiel at 6.15 a.m. At 8.30 a.m. the buoy layer was successfully refloated and anchored in deeper water for inspections and investigations. The tug was returning to Kiel at 11 a.m., the patrol boats "Staberhuk" and "Brunswik" remained on site. At 12.30 p.m. the "Helios Krebs" entered the port of Eckernförde. Obviously the captain had missed a required change of course at Kiel lighthouse around 1 a.m. so that the ship headed directly to the beach at the coast of Schwansen.
