The 'Knyaz Vladimir' broke all its mooring ropes due to strong winds in the port of Sochi on July 8, 2020. As a result, it drifted away from the pier into the port waters. After the crew managed to switch on the engines, the vessel was moored alongside again. This time, the crew turned the vessel and moored in a direction so that the wind did not have as much effect on the vessel's mooring ropes.

The start of the cruise season of the "Knyaz Vladimir" from Sochi port on Apr 29, 2018, was delayed due to a monitoring system failure. After the problem was fixed, the ship was due to set sail bound for Crimea on May 6, but suffered an engine room fire in the night of May 5.
