On July 29, 2019, the "Knipan" suffered a broken bow thruster and as a consequence allided with the quay at the ferry berth in Långnäs in the morning hours. One car was damaged and one person was injured. The sailings of the ship for the rest of the day were cancelled. The ferry "Skiftet" took over some extra tours with a depature at 9:10 p.m. from Kökar via Husö at 10 p.m., Sottunga at 10:30 p.m. and arrival in Långnäs at 11:15 p.m. and a sailing from there at 11.20 p.m. via Överö at 11:55 p.m., Sottunga at 12.30 a.m. and arrival in Kökar at 01:40 a.m. on July 30. The "Knipan" resumed its service after repairs on July 30 at 12:30 p.m. on the southern line, with the exception of Överö, Husö and Kyrkogårdsö. Booked customers were contacted by Åland traffic.
