Ferry ran aground
The "Satria Pratama" ran aground near Hellen Island, Mars Takong Kecil Batam, in pos. 1 8.871 N - 103 48.047 E on Sep 18, 2018, at 07:30 a.m. The Batam SAR immediately responded with a RIB which arrived on site at 8 a.m. It was planned to refloat the ship with the high tide at 2 p.m. Also the SAR boat "Purworejo" attended ans was monitoring the ferrry. At 10.15 a.m. the passengers were taken off by the "Lagoi Ekspres" and taken to Punggur Port. The ferry had on board 50 passengers, 19 crew members and 31 vehicles.
