Tanker refloated on Don
The product tanker "Volgoneft 117" has commenced the offloading of fuel from the grounded "Kapitan Permyakov" on Sep 17 at 05.30 a.m. The vessel was refloated at 12.20 p.m. The tanker, carrying a cargo of 4,294 tons of fuel, veered off the fairway and ran aground, while anchoring at the 3116.1 km mark on the River Don, on Sep 12 at 11 p.m.. At 9 a.m. on Sep 13, the tug Priboy" was sent to the scene to assist, and at 1 p.m. the tug "RT-612" arrived at the grounding position and commenced refloating operations.

On Sep 14, the tanker was still aground in pos. 47 13 53.51N 039 55 50.47E. The tugs "Priboy" and "RT-612" arrived on Sep 13. Refloating efforts were ongoing as of Sep 14.
