Medevac off Kalamata

In the morning of Nov 7, 2021, the Port Authority of Kalamata was informed by the JRCC that a 54-year-old crew member of the 'Kapetan Aveshnikov', which was sailing in the sea area 20 nauical miles southwest of the port of Kalamata, needed immediate hospital treatment. The ship proceeded to the anchorage of Kalamata, where the patient was transferred onto the 'Agios Nikalaos I' and then transported safely to the port, where he was picked up by an ambulance and taken to the General Hospital of Messinia for treatment.
