The 55 year old Chinese Chief officer of the 'Kota Lazim' fell overboard onSep 12, 2020, at 5 a.m. in the Pacific, abeam of Urup island in the waters of the southern Kuril Archipelago. The ship interrupted its oyage, turned back and started an SAR operation, assisted by a Japanese aircraft. The vessel was en route from Yangshan China to Manzanillo with an ETA as of Sep 22.
