Cargo ship assisted to unlit yacht
On Jan 14, 2024, the 'Herbeira', en route from Las Palmas to Rotterdam, was diverted to an unlit yacht 35 nauical miles north of La Isleta, which was heading towards Gran Canaria and making light signals and was remarked by another yacht, the 'Orinoco', which notified the CCS Las Palmas. Also the Helimer 204 helicopter was mobilized and confirmed that it was a sailboat without lights, but that it did not require help, but just had a fault with the electricity.
