Disabled ferry towed to Soru
The "Subsea Seven" with 36 passengers on board suffered an engine failure on Jan 6, 2017, at 9 a.m. while en route from Hiiumaa Island to Saaremaa Island, the two biggest Estonian islands. The ferry was stuck in ice, which was keeping her from drifting to shallows. A fishing boat nearby took her in tow three hours after she stopped, and in the afternoon she berthed in Soru.
