Incident in Suez Canal

The 'Great Link', during its transit of the Suez Canal from Port Said enroute from Port Kamsar, underway in a south bound convoy, ran aground at KM51 on Jan 7, 2021, at 04.30 a.m. The bulk carrier 'Jin Zhou Hai' which was sailing behind the vessel, thereupon allided with the dredger 'Mashhour' working in the area. The 'Great Link' moored on the Suez South Anchorage in pos. 29° 42.55' N 032° 35.87' E early on Jan 8, the 'Jin Zhou Hai' in pos. 29° 49.82' N 032° 31.25' E.
