Collision in the Dardanelles
On Sep 16, 2015, at 1 a.m. the "Ganda" was in collision with the Dardanelles ferry "Erdemler 5". The accident happened in Gallipoli area. The two ships brushed up alongside each other, with last minute action taken preventing a much worse outcome for the ferry which was carrying both passengers and vehicles. Both vessels suffered damages, the "Ganda" was anchored off Sevketiye, the ferry taken to a ferry pier in Gallipoli. The cargo ship was en route from Rostov-on-Don to Durres.
