The "Fauskanger" was attacked by a PAG on Feb 24, 2011, off Oman. The Pirates fled when fighters flew over their boats. The ship sent a notice of the hijacking attempt at 9.09 a.m. No one was injured during the hijacking attempt, which lasted just under two hours. The ship suffered no damage. It headed south along India's west coast, heading for Malacca and Singapore.
