Thanks to the swift response of the NSSR crew, the vessel was successfully dislodged and escorted back to port. Following the incident, the 'Famita' was able to continue its journey and safely reached Copenhagen on May 2, 2026. The "Famita" ran aground on Dec 23, 2017, at 10 p.m. in Svendborg while entering port. The grounding was caused by a mechanical malfunction and strong wind. The ship was refloated on Dec 24 at 2 a.m. with tug assistance, and taken to port, where she was berthed at 02.30 a.m. at the Østre Quay, had arrived at Svendborg coming from Hausvig. It left the port again after surveys and unloading on Dec 25 at 5.40 p.m., bound for Mandal, ETA Dec 27.
