Allision in Rendsburg
Enroute Istanbul-Abenraa the "Emstide" allided with a quay at the communal port Rendsburg in the Kiel Canal on Mar 15, 2012, at 8.20 a.m. The ship had encountered a failure of the rudder hydraulic and suffered a 20x20-cm-hole in the port side aft. The ship was thus not allowed to proceed until repairs have been carried out.
