Grounding on the Wester Scheldt
On March 6, 2018, the "Epsilongas" ran aground at 08:45 a.m on the Wester Scheldt enroute from Breafoot Point to Antwerp at the Dutch/Belgian sea frontier near buoy 81. The tugs "Fairplay 1", "Lieven Gevaert" and "Carl" attended th grounded tanker and managed to refloat it. After inspections at an anchorage the ship was towed to Antwerp by the tugs "Multratug 7" and "Multratug 30" at noon. the tanker berthed at the ATCP Terminal in harbour dock 4 in Antwerp at 2.15 p.m. The tanker sailed again on March 16, bound for Tarragona, ETA March 25.
