The "Elly Maersk" on Dec 30, 2010, reported a suspicious vessel to the Danish warship "Esbern Snare", whose crew then quickly found the boat in question with six people aboard by using a helicopter. It was patrolling the Gulf of Aden under NATO operational control. It disarmed the vessel with alleged pirates aboard and detained the suspects.
