Tanker ran aground on Paraná River
On the night of Dec 10, 2024, the “El Día” ram aground on the Paraná river at kilometre 408.5 outside the main channel in pos. 33° 01' S 060° 35' W at the height of Villa Gobernador Gálvez. The tug “Criollo” (MMSI: 701006177 ) was called to try to refloat the tanker from the sandbank and arrived at 11:35 a.m. Salvage work was started under the direction of the salvage master Gastón Bestoso, who embarked by Vessel SA.
