Rudder blade loss off Liepaja
On Aug 13, 2018, the "Lazurite", while in position 56 33 01 N, 020 46 04 E, lost its rudder blade near Liepaja Outer Roads during stormy weather, on Aug 13, 2018. The ship was enrout e from Grimsby, where it had sailed on Aug 8. It was taken in tow by the tugs "TAK 7" and "TAK 1" and towed into the port of Liepaja, and was safely berthed at 1.20 p.m. It was being repaired in drydock in Liepaja.
