The "Nord Butterfly" lost its captain as he had to be hospitalized in the Brazilian city of Salvador. He had to be treated after being hit by a gunshot, while he and a colleague from the ship were waiting for a taxi on a street in Salvador. The shot hit him in the chest, but luckily the bullet did not hit any vital organs. The shot came from a group of robbers. The captain‟s family was flown to Brazil during the weekend. The Nord Butterfly had arrived in Salvador da Bahia on a voyage from Bahia Blanca, Argentina, obn Mar 8, 2010.
