Technical trouble in English Channel
The "Charlie" suffered problems with a piston ring in position 51 34.64N, 01 57.52E, 22,8 nautical miles from north Foreland on March 21, 2018. The vessel notified the Dover Coastguard CNIS at 4.23 p.m. It left the traffic separation scheme and headed to the Tongue Anchorage, where it moored at 9 p.m. to effect repairs The vessel was loaded with 30.500 tonnes and bound from Muuga to Paranagua. On March 22 it was back under way, ETA Apr 8.
