The Third Naval Region, based in Lerma, Campeche, received an urgent request for assistance from PetrĂłleos Mexicanos, indicating the need for medical evacuation for the wounded individual. A Defender-class vessel swiftly navigated to the coordinates 20 nautical miles northwest of Lerma, where the 'Burgos' was anchored, to facilitate the rescue operation. Following the successful evacuation, the injured crew member was transported to the Lerma Integral Port Administration's dock. There, he was handed over to personnel from PetrĂłleos Mexicanos for further transfer to a medical facility in San Francisco de Campeche for essential medical care.
