Anchors got entangled
The Port Authority of Piraeus was informed in the afternoon of Oct 15, 2021, that the 'Basel Athena', when leaving port, got its anchor entangled with that of the passenger m/v 'Smyrna' which was moored on the adjacent side in Drapetsona, which was damaged. The Central Port Authority of Piraeus banned both ships from sailing until the presentation of a class maintenance certificate of the monitoring classification societies.
