On August 20, 2025, the iconic tugboat 'Furie' (MMSI: 244710829) was involved in a minor collision while navigating the IJmuiden lock, en route to the highly anticipated SAIL Amsterdam event. Known for its role in the beloved 1970s television series 'Hollands Glorie', the vessel suffered only minor damage—a broken plank—after unintentionally making contact with the 'B.A.P. Unión i'. As the lock gates swung open, the Finnish sailing ship moored beside 'Furie' began to cast off, inadvertently causing the tug's bow to pivot in the wrong direction. This misalignment led to a gentle collision with the starboard side of the STS, which was being towed at the time. Fortunately, the incident resulted in limited damage, allowing for swift repairs.
