On Apr 12, 2016, officials of the water police Brake remarked that the freeboard mark of the "Fehn Castle" was too low in the water to ensure safety at sea. The ship wanted to take a cargo of steel to Bermeo, but had loaded 33 tons too much, and in consultation with the port authority the 53 year old Russian master was prohibited to leave port until the brand was back. As the port operations had already set in the evening, he had to wait until the next morning in order to unload the required amount of steel again. In addition, ballast water and fresh water was pumped overboard to meet the requirement. On Apr 13 by noon the ban was lifted again and the ship left port, ETA in Spain was now Apr 18, 2 p.m.
