Container ship went adrift in Koper
On Sep 16, 2017, at 3 a.m. the "APL California" broke off her moorings in strongs winds of 25 meters per second speed in basin 1 of the port of Koper. The aft moorings broke, while the fore lines held fast, so the vessel’s stern moved around and struck another docked vessel, and a Neptun tug. Two tugs brought the ship back to the quay, while the stern lines were fastened to mooring buoys. The "Mercur" (IMO: 9801823) continued to hold the ship at the quay.
