Paragon Shipping Inc., a leading entity in global shipping focused on drybulk cargo transportation, has officially welcomed the M/V Proud Seas into its fleet. This 37,227 dwt Handysize vessel was delivered today from Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding Co., a reputable shipbuilding firm located in China. In a significant development, Paragon Shipping has also disclosed its agreement with HSH Nordbank AG, pending final documentation, to secure partial financing for its first two Ultramax drybulk newbuildings. Scheduled for delivery in the second and third quarters of 2014, each of the two Ultramax vessels will be financed up to $17.2 million or 65% of their market value at the time of delivery, as per the terms set by HSH Nordbank AG.
