Davik

The 'Davik', serving on the route Askvoll - Gjervik - Fure, suffered a technical problems and had to be removed from service on March 9, 2026. The ship was sidelined in Askvoll for troubleshooting. A combination of the ferry 'Nordfjord' (IMO: 9341732) and a passenger boat were inserted on the connection on the early morning of March 10, until a backup ferry was in place. The departures at 06:00 a.m. from Askvoll and 06:15 a.m. from Gjervik were operated by the passenger boat. The departure at 06:55 a.m. from Gjervik was operated by the 'Nordfjord'. The departures at 08:30 a.m., 09:40 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. were operated by the passenger boat. The 'Nordfjord' also made a departure at approx. 08:50 a.m. The departure from Fure at 07:30 a.m. was operated by the passenger boat. It followed the timetable until a reserve ferry was in place at approximately 12:30 p.m. The 'Nordfjord' stopped in Gjervik on the way to Askvoll at approximately 12:00 p.m.

At the quay in Askvoll, the "Davik" was damaged afther the "Nordfjord" was blown aganst it in the afternoon of Marh 23. when two ferries were blown onto each other. There was also damage to the ferry terminal which made it necessary for ferries to turn around to allow the cars to be unloaded. The "Davik" had to be taken out of service due to the damage sufffered. Fjord 1 was looking for a spare ferry. For the time being, a passenger boat was inserted Askvoll at 11:45 and the return from Værlandet between Askvoll and Værlandet.
