One dead, one injured in explosion
One seaman died and another suffered 40% skin burns in a fire aboard the "Balgarka" in the morning of Oct 28., 2018, which was berthed at the Varna Shiprepair Yard since Oct 17. Both had been working in a ballast tank in the foreship when an explosion with subsequent fire occurred. It was believed the accident was caused by sparks during welding works.
