Cargo ship damaged in storm
The "Lomur" encountered heavy inclement weather at the north Atlantic Ocean enroute from Reykjavik to Canada, on March 11, 2019, and suffered damage to the cargo on board. The machinery and the forward deck winches sustained electrical damages. There was also deformation of containers and deck fittings, 16 containers were damaged. The vessel continued its voyage where repairs and cargo operations were taking place. On March 14 at 10.25 a.m. it reached Argentia. On March 16 at 10.30 a.m. it continued its voyage to Halifax, ETA March 18.
