Bulk carrier damaged pier in Novorossyisk
Pn March 12, 2021, the 'CP Shenzhen' broke off the pier No.9 of PSJ Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port due to bad weather conditions in an off-shore wind which pushed the stern of the vessel from the berth. Eight fenders of the pier No.9 were damaged, and the damage, including the cost of inspection of the pier, was estimated to be around 70.000 Dollars. The vessel did not sustain any damage. It was towed to the port anchorage by five tugs and left the port on March 17, headed to New Orleans with an ETA as of April 8.
