Tug rescued 30 castaways
The maritime controllers of the CNCS of Salvamento Marítimo in Madrid have coordinated the rescue of the 30 crew members of the Donostian freezer trawler 'Figaro' (IMO: 8905725) 12 miles off the Angolan coast. The blazting vessel was drifting 23 miles north of Lobito on Oct 18, 2020. The crew fled into four life rafts wand were rescued by the 'Couper Tide' which sailed from Luanda on Oct 17 at 5 p.m. and headed to the scene.
