Berthed container ship hit by drifting boxship
Strong wind broke the moorings of the "HH Johanna" in the port of Valencia which was docked at the Costa wharf in the morning of Feb 14, 2016. The ship drifted towards the "Cosco Europe", which was docked at the Noatum Terminal. Four tugs of Boluda Maritime's Valencia base rushed to the scene and managed to get the ship back to its berth in spite of the hard wind which was gusting between 45 and 50 knots. Two tugs assisted six hours each, with the assistance of two more tugs for one hour each to get the situation back under control. Only the foreships touched slightly. The "Cosco Europe" left the port on Feb 15 bound to Piraeus.
