On 17-FEB-11 at 04:45 LT, the India Flag, 1,363 DWT, 59m LOA, 1.150m Freeboard, Offshore Tug 'POORNA', was boarded by 6 pirates armed with machetes while underway in position 01 08' 0" N, 103 33' 16" E, 6nm SW of Pulau Nipa, Indonesia on bearing 78.6, in the TSS Eastbound Lane. The PAG boarded the Tug from a motor boat and broke the porthole glass of the aft starboard entrance to the wheel house to open the door from the inside. They stole 2 pair of binoculars, cash, mobile phones and other personal items from the crew. The crew not injured during the incident.
