Contship-Eco

The 'Contship Eco' was in allision with the laid up ro/ro ferry 'Pern' ex 'Kopernikus' in Piraeus on Dec 1, 2019. The ship sailed from the port on Dec 9 at 4.30 p.m. and berthed in Marsaxlokk on Dec 12, before continuiing to Thessaloniki on Dec 13 and arriving at the TCDD Izmir Container Terminal on Dec 18 at 11.15 p.m.

The "Contship Eco" suffered engine failure enroute from Khoms to Piraeus in the southern Aegean Sea in position 34 58 05.0 N 20 21 05.0 E, on Sep 2, 2019. The tug "Christos XXII" (IMO: 7230135), was called to tow the disabled vessel to Piraeus. It sailed from Ampelaika at 11 p.m. The towage started on Sep 4 .The vessel arrived on Piraeus anchorage on Sep 7 and was berthed in the repair yard upon completion of formalities. She left the port again on Dec 8 at 8.40 a.m.and headed to Marsaxlokk as next port of call where it arrived on Dec 12 at 1.40 p.m. before sailing on to Thessaloniki and Izmir on on Dec 17 with an ETA as of Dec 18.
