Collision in Marmara Sea
The Turkish freighter "Hizir" was in collision with the "Sener 1" on Feb 25, 2014, in the Marmara Sea, odin.tc reports. The accident happened 17 miles off Gallipoli in the Dardanelles. The "Hizir" struck the "Sener 1" at starboard side, and both vessel suffered damages. The "Sener 1" was en route from Constanta Romania to Haifa, the "Hizir" was en route from Mersin to Izmit. Both vessel had to be anchored for damage surveys and investigations.
