She made her first visit to the port of Savannah, GA USA Aug. 27, 2010...the largest ship ever to enter the port. There was much excitement and interest as she made her way under the Talmadge Bridge. A crowd made up of locals and visitors waited in the rain on River Street to see her depart on Saturday night. An unknown reason caused a delay, and River Street was again crowded on Sunday morning as she made her way out of Savannah. A smaller crowd watched her exit the jetties from the beach on Tybee Island and this is where I watched in awe as she slowly made her way out. We are already anticipating her return!
