Pirate attack repelled
On Feb 22, 2020, at 7.50 a.m. 11 pirate boats with 4-5 persons aboard each approached the 'CL Lindy' in the Gulf of Somalia in the waters between Yemen and Djibouti. The security team on board the ship fired warning shots. The UKMTO also dispatched helicopters to the scene. The attack could be repelled, and no casualties have been reported. The small boats had also tried to approach another dry bulk carrier guarded by a security team but eventually fled after warning shots.
