Incident in Suez Canal
The bulk carrier 'Great Link', during its transit of the Suez Canal from Port Said enroute from Port Kamsar, underway in a south bound convoy, ran aground at KM51 on Jan 7, 2021, at 04.30 a.m. The 'Jin Zhou Hai', enroute from Istanbul to Hong Kong, which was sailing behind vessel, thereupon allided with the dredger 'Mashhour' working in the area. The 'Great Link' moored on the Suez South Anchorage in pos. 29° 42.55' N 032° 35.87' E early on Jan 8, the 'Jin Zhou Hai' in pos. 29° 49.82' N 032° 31.25' E.
