Cl-Flanders

The 'CL Flanders', with eight crew members on board, ran aground at Getterön, when leaving the port of Varberg enroute to Rochester on Feb 3, 2026, shortly after 8 p.m., in pos. 57° 07' N 012° 14' E. The authorities were alerted at midnight. The shipping company De Bock Meritiem ruled out a technical fault as the cause. The Coast Guard was on site and has launched a preliminary investigation. The crew have tested negative for alcohol and are unharmed. The ship was refloated by the tug 'Magnus' (IMO: 7407570) on Feb 5 at around 7 a.m. UTC within about half an hour. It was safely berthed back in the inner port of Varberg at 7.40 a.m., where the hull was to be inspected by divers. The shipping company did not expect any major damage.
