Clansman

The 'Clansman', serving on the route Oban-Colonsay, suffered a technical issue on Dec 6. After the trouble has been resolved, the ferrr departed from the port of Oban at 12:45 p.m., 20 minutes late). Customers were advised to check in as normal at Tiree and Coll. Due to the ship's operations being restricted to daylight hours, the following amended timetable was operated on Dec 8: Departure Oban: 1:25 p.m. (Previously 1:45 p.m.) Arrival Colonsay – 3:40 p.m. Departure Colonsay - 3:55 p.m. (Previously 4:15 p.m.) Arrival Oban - 6:10 p.m.

On Nov 25, the 'Clansman', serving on the route Oban-Craignure, suffered a technical issue with the fast rescue craft, which required further investigation. As a consequence, the scheduled sailing from Oban at 4:30 p.m. was delayed. This also had a knock on effect to the departure from Craignure at 5:45 p.m. The ferry finally departed from Oban at approximately 6:00 p.m., one and a half hours late. Also on Nov 26, sailings continued to be liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice. Affected were the departure from Oban at 07:25 a.m. and from Craignure at 08:35 a.m.

The 'Clansman', serving on the route Oban-Coll-Tiree, caught an obstruction in the stabiliser fin, which had to be removed in the port of Coll before the ship could resume the route. The ferry finally departed the port with a delay of about half an hour.

The 'Clansman', serving on the route Oban-Colonsay, needed essential repairs to the bow visor on Sep 6 and was sidelined. As a consequence, the service had to be be cancelled. The passenger charter m/v 'Hyskier' provided crossings for pedestrians in the meantime. However, due to adverse weather, this service was liable to disruption or cancellation.

The 'Clansman', serving on the route Oban-Colonsay, got its port side propeller fouled by debris, which got entangled in it upon the arrival in Oban on the night of Aug 25. The ship had to be removed from service, and divers have been arranged to attend the ferry on the morning of Aug 26. As a result all sailings had to be cancelled on the route until the obstructions have been removed and the propulsion was working again. The debris has been removed from the propeller, and the service would be operating as normal on Aug 27.

Due to a medical emergency aboard the 'Clansman', serving on the route Oban-Coll-Tiree on June 24 , the scheduled 3:00 p.m. sailing from Oban was be delayed arriving into Coll. A further update was to be provided when possible.

Due to essential repairs required on the bow visor of the 'Clansman', the scheduled departures from Oban on May 29 at 4:20 p.m., due to arrive in Colonsay at :35 p.m., and from Colonsay at 6:50 p.m., due to arrive in Oban at 9:05 p.m., had to be cancelled by the operator CalMac.
