Medevac off Kallonis
In the evening of Dec 14, 2018, a 20-year-old crew member of the "Chicago Express" was in need of immediate hospital care. The ship, which was underway from the port of Genoa to the port of Damietta, approached the area of Kallonis, where the patient was taken off by a Greek patrol boat. The man who had suffered a lower limb fracture was initially taken to the First Aid Center and then to the Venizelio Hospital in Heraklion, where he remained hospitalized.
