Two died in engine room fire
On Nov 22, 2021, a fire broke out in the engine room of the 'Cemical Master', en route from Haifa to Amsterdam, in the North Atlantic Ocean. Two crew members were badly ijured and medevaced by a helicopter of the Portugal Air Force. They were been transferred to a hospital but their lives could not be saved. The fire could be brought under control. The tanker was adrift off the coast of Portugal as of Nov 23 with two ships of the Portuguese Navy nearby. On Nov 24 the tanker was under tow of the tug 'Portugs Sines' (IMO: 8513754), headed to Lisbon with an ETA as of Nov 24.
