Medevac off Cabo Touriñán
On Dec 1, 2019, the Helimer 401 helicopter of Salvamento MarÃtimo carried out the medical evacuation of a 46-year-old Russian national of the 'FMT Bergama' 43 miles NW from Cabo Touriñán. At 10.50 a.m., the Helimer 401 landed in Alvedro where an ambulance was waiting for the patient for transfer to the hospital. The tanker was enroute from Bilbao to Sines with an ETA as of Dec 2. The "FMT Bergama" got out of control around Bebek on Aug 17, 2018. The tanker drifted towards the waterfront. The captain of the vessel veered at the last moment and the tanker sailed towards the Black Sea.
