Ferry ablaze after attack
Russia attacked the 'Cenk T', operating between Karasu and Odesa, on Dec 12, at 4 p.m., while it was berthed in the port of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region with an Iskender ballistic missile and UAVs, which were launched toward the area. The ferry was ablaze in the evening. Tugs were spraying water to douse the flames, which could later be contained jointly with the port's fire brigade and the crew. The 'Cenk T' was carrying food supplies, diesel, gasoline, and gas generators from the company AKSA, which were being delivered to Romania. It was believed the generators were likely intended to provide electricity to areas near the port. There were also many Turkish trucks on board. No injuries were reported. The crew and truck drivers on board were evacuaind. One employee of a private company had been injured in a separate attack on Odesa port, and a cargo loader had been damaged there. Three vessels were damaged in total, all Turkish-owned.
