Container ship ran aground and lost containers
The "Vento Di Tramontana" ran aground while approaching the port of Casablanca on Sep 2, 2014, at 11.20 p.m. and lost 27 40-ft-containers. By Sep 6, six containers have been salvaged, four more were located at Oukacha, three more adrift on sea. The recovery was going on. The vessel docked in Casablanca. Some boxes washed ashore and partially looted by locals.
