Engine trouble off Serifos
The Port Authority of Serifos was informed by the Master of the 'Cat I' about a malfunction of the starboard main engine on July 18, 2024, at 10.30 a.m., while the ship was en route from the port of Kythnos to the port of Serifos. The vessel sailed safely to the port of Serifos and disembarked the passengers. The vessel was initially prohibited from sailing until the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society. After the presentation of the certificate, the ship was permitted a single voyage to the port of Laurium without passengers and cargo.
