Grounding on Paraná
The 'AG Valor' ran aground below Rosario on the Paraná at river kilometer 401 in the night of March 29, 2020. On March 30 the tugs 'Brutus' (MMSI: 701006670), and 'Ranquel' (IMO:: 9688702) attended the ship in its grounding position 33° 4.81' S 060° 31.71' W. Passing ship traffic was not affected. The ship was refloated on March 31 around 3 p.m. Vessel navigation in the area remained interrupted until bathymetric surveys had been completed. The dredger 'Capt. Nunez' was in the area, and the Coast Guard was evaluating the passage of ballast vessels on a case by case basis. The 'AG Valor' was en route from San Lorenzo to Hodeidah with 19.190 tons of maize on board when the accident happened.
