Landing craft boarded by robbers
The duty crew member on board the "Merlin III", which was moored at the Pointe Noire anchorage, Congo, noticed two robbers armed with long knives, lowering stolen mooring ropes to their accomplice in a wooden boat, on Oct 20, 2018, at 11.15 p.m. Alarm was raised and the crew members alerted, resulting in the robbers fleeing the vessel and escaping in their boat. The vessel was searched, and several mooring ropes were found missing from the poop deck.
